Holy Prophet (PBUH) has been made blessing for Humanity, and the being of Prophet (PBUH) is such an ocean of blessings that no any strata of society is derived of by his teachings. Before the arrival of Holy Prophet (PBUH), the weak strata of society used to be oppressed in all its forms and manifestations, and suffered all sort of atrocity and cohesion. It is very core to the Teachings of Prophet (PBUH) that, it restored the rights of former oppressed class and brought its status equal to all. The list of oppressed and weak strata of society remained long, but our discussion is confined to the widow. Before Islam, the status of widow was very deplorable and she was ground under the oppression of all other strata of society. Even though in some religions, she was burnt alive with the corpse of husband. And somewhere her second marriage was denied and somewhere so on. But, a teaching of Islam and Holy Prophet (PBUH) has given a very crucial, respectable and safe as well as significant place to her in society. This article deals with this subject in detail, with solid references from different resources. In the end this articles carries suggestion for the welfare and development of widows.

Financial dealings are an integral part of human life. All the human beings have to do such dealings for their needs, mostly related to trade. But principles and rules for such dealings depend on either human intellect or the Shariah teachings. The human intellect in itself prevents humans from indulging into oppressive and corrupt ways of earning so that they do not incur loss in trading. But selfish and lustrous worldly interests mislead them, and consequently, they take to the prohibited ways of earning. In such situations, Shariah guides us to the right path. Allah Ta’ala has guided the mankind in the best way through the eternal and everlasting teachings of the Holy Quran. Regarding the financial dealings, this Holy Book has given us a comprehensive guideline which is beyond human intellect, and that is: Do not get one another’s possessions through prohibited ways; yes, you can earn them through trading based on mutual consent. This guideline has prohibited all the illegal ways of earning, including fraudulence, dishonesty, misrepresentation etc. The Article in focus discusses the condemnation of earning through prohibited ways, importance of the unambiguity of financial dealings and the related Shariah rulings.

Author: Rahman, Abdur, Aziz-ur-Rehman Saifee, Hafiz Munir Ahmed Khan
In the context of blasphemy issue, the present study examines the socio-cultural elements in the Moral Ethics syllabi functional at the different universities of Pakistan. As per our hypothesis, ME syllabi lack some important socio-cultural elements responsible for handling hate crimes, especially the issue of blasphemy. For testing the proposed hypothesis, available ME syllabi were collected from the official websites of different universities. Collected ME syllabi were examined through the method of content analysis. After examining literature review, necessary socio-cultural factors (SCFs) were listed and the selected syllabi were evaluated through this list of SCFs. Our study findings endorse the primary hypothesis that majority of universities has adopted the foreign model of ME syllabi without adapting them according to indigenous social and cultural needs. Additionally, the most important SCFs; knowledge of blasphemy laws (KBL) and real-life dilemmas (RLD), are mostly absent in the existing ME syllabi.
