۔ہمزہ استفہامیہ

حضرت ِ یوسف ﷤ کے بھائی جب یوسف ﷤ کے پاس گئے اوربھائیوں نے جب عزیز مصر کی زبان سے اس یوسف علیہ السلام کا تذکرہ سنا، جسے انہوں نے بچپن میں کنعان کے ایک تاریک کنویں میں پھینک دیا تھا، تو وہ حیران بھی ہوئے اور غور سے دیکھنے پر مجبور بھی کہ کہیں ہم سے ہم کلام بادشاہ، یوسف علیہ السلام ہی تو نہیں؟ ورنہ یوسف علیہ السلام کے قصے کا اسے کس طرح علم ہو سکتا ہے؟ چنانچہ انہوں نے سوال کیا کہ کیا تو یوسف علیہ السلام ہی تو نہیں؟ارشادِ ربانی ہے:

۱-"ءَاِنَّكَ لَاَنْتَ يُوْسُفُ قَالَ اَنَا يُوْسُفُ وَهٰذَآ اَخِيْ ، قَدْ مَنَّ اللّٰهُ عَلَيْنَا اِنَّه مَنْ يَّتَّقِ وَيَصْبِرْ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يُضِيْعُ اَجْرَ الْمُحْسِنِيْنَ"۔ [[1]]

"کیا تو ہی یوسف ہے کہا میں ہی یوسف ہوں اور یہ میرا بھائی ہے اللہ نے ہم پر احسان کیا بے شک جو ڈرتا ہے اور صبر کرتا ہے تو اللہ بھی نیکوں کا اجر ضائع نہیں کرتا۔"

دوسرے مقام پر اللہ نے ارشاد فرمایا:

۲-"ءَاَنْتُمْ اَنْشَاْتُمْ شَجَرَتَهَآ اَمْ نَحْنُ الْمُنْشِٔوْنَ "۔ [[2]]

"کیا تم نے اس کا درخت پیدا کیا ہے یا ہم پیدا کرنے والے ہیں"۔

 کہا جاتا ہے کہ عرب میں دو درخت مرخ اور عفار ہیں اگران دونوں سے ٹہنیاں لے کر ان کو آپس میں رگڑا جائے تو اس سے آگ کے شرارے نکلتے ہیں ۔انہی سے متعلق اللہ نے استفہامیہ انداز میں فرمایا: کیا تم نے اس کا درخت پیدا کیا ہے یا ہم پیدا کرنے والے ہیں۔

Jenkins’ Deliberations on Communal Conflict with the Leaders of Punjab: 1946-47 (Part-II)

Bhim Sen Sacher informed Jenkins about the destruction caused by arson in Lahore. Akbari Mandi, Chune Mandi, Chauhatta Basti, Bhagat Singh Basti, Kucha Kagzian and Pipal Vehra had been burnt down. The fire brigade could not cope with those vast and dispersed areas. If someone tried to extinguish the fire he was shot at by the police. Bhim Sen Sachar suggested that the only way to save Lahore was to impose martial law in the city. He hoped that the Governor would take that step immediately.64 Jenkins thanked Lala Bhim Sen Sachar and Gokul for their letters informing him about Lahore. Jenkins explained that fire brigade had done a good job in spite of constraints and difficulties. He believed that all communities had access to incendiary materials, and could use it without detection by traversing joined roof-tops. Throwing fire-balls from one house to another was wreaking devastation. Checking trouble of that kind was not an easy job, but searches were carried out and culprits were arrested.6

A Case Study of Teacher Leadership at a Private Higher Secondary School in North Pakistan

This case study brings out the importance of the notion of Teacher Leadership, that involves teachers in leadership practices in the light of the literature and research findings. This study was carried out in a private higher secondary school in North Pakistan, with an aim of introducing and promoting teacher leadership by investigating into the practices of the teachers at the school, because at the time of the study it was assumed, based on the researchers' own experiences at the school, that the teachers were engaged in leadership practices yet they were not aware of the concept Teacher Leadership. This study explored the kind of roles and the processes teachers were involved in at the classroom level and the school level; hence, unveiling the reasons and the conditions that supported the teachers in involving in such practices. For this purpose interviews, questionnaires, document analysis and writing reflections were used as means of data collection. Data were analyzed using a cross case analysis (thirteen cases altogether) approach, in the light of the conceptual framework, to develop the study. The data findings illustrate how teachers can be involved in leadership practices. Findings illustrated that teachers at the school were involved in leadership practices by taking initiatives at the classroom level and the school level. The findings of the study have implications as to how and why teacher leadership should be promoted in schools and why it should be incorporated in teacher education programs.
