مولانا محمد یونس فرنگی محلی مرحوم

بے مہریٔ دہربین کہ دریکْ ہفتہ

گل سرزد وغنچہ گرد دبشگفت و بریخت

           نہایت رنج و افسوس اور حسرت و اندوہ کے ساتھ ہم ناظرین کو یہ خبر سناتے ہیں کہ ملک کی بزم دانش کا ایک نوجوان ممبر اٹھ گیا، مولانا محمد یونس فرنگی محلی مرحوم نے پچھلے مہینہ لکھنؤ میں بمرضِ دق وفات پائی۔ مرحوم مولانا عبدالحئی مرحوم فرنگی محلی کے نواسے تھے اور اپنے ذاتی علم و فضل میں اپنے ہمعصر نوجوانوں میں ممتاز تھے۔ ۲۴، ۲۵ برس سے زیادہ عمر نہ تھی، معقولات اور فلسفہ سے ان کو خاص دلچسپی تھی اور اپنی عمر کا بڑا حصہ انہیں کی تحقیق اور کاوش میں بسر کیا۔ خود اپنے ذاتی شوق سے انگریزی اور فلسفۂ جدید حاصل کیا۔ دارالمصنفین اور معارف سے مرحوم کو خاص محبت تھی، کئی سال سے ان کی صحت مخدوش تھی، باایں ہمہ وہ اپنے علمی انہماک سے باز نہیں آتے تھے۔ گزشتہ سال عثمانیہ یونیورسٹی میں پروفیسر ہوکر گئے تھے، وہاں مرض نے طول پکڑا، آخر وطن آکر اس شہید علم نے جان دی، مرحوم کی ایک کتاب ’’روح الاجتماع‘‘ دارالمصنفین سے چھپ کر شائع ہوچکی ہے اور اپنی ایک اور دوسری تصنیف ابن رشد کا مسودہ دارالمصنفین میں بھیج چکے تھے جو عنقریب چھپ کر شائع ہوگی۔ مرحوم کے دوستوں کو ان کی ذات سے بڑی بڑی توقعات تھیں اور خیال تھا کہ ان کی کوششوں سے فرنگی محل کی عقلی اور فلسفیانہ شان پھر دوبارہ زندہ ہوگی۔ افسوس کہ دستِ اجل نے امان نہ دی، انالِلّٰہ۔ (سید سليمان ندوی، دسمبر ۱۹۲۲ء)

تنبيهات الحافظ ابن حجر في فتح الباري على الإمام الكرماني في الکواکب الدراري في الإتصال والإنقطاع: دراسة نقدية مقارنة

Sahih al-Bukhari a collection of ahadith of Mohammad (PUUH) compiled by Imam Abu Abdullah Muhammad al-Bukhari, has been given great importance by the Muslim scholars of past and present time. Many detailed commentaries on this collection have been written So the number of methods have been increased during the commentary of this book. Some of them explained it in detail, and some concerned with a particular aspect. “Al Kawakib Ad Durari” by Imam Alkirmani is an old explanation of Sahih Bukhari. Many commentators came after Imam Alkirmani consulted his book, and quoted his statements in their books; sometimes agreeing, and at other times contravention. Imam Alkirmani was among those scholars who were expert in many fields at a time like know-ledge about hadith, its narrators, commentary, qiraat, Quranic science, Islamic Jurisprudence, Arabic language, Faith, medicine, history, geography, astronomy etc. During studying “Fath al Bari”I found that Alhafiz Ibne Hajar criticized on the commentary of Alkirmani at many times in relating to the continuation and discount-inuation of traditions. In this article I studied these comments of Alhafiz Ibne Hajar on Imam Alkirmani a critical comparison. After research I have found that Alhafiz Ibne Hajar has consulted “Al Kawakib Ad Durari” and quoted Imam Alkirmani’s commentary and added it. This article approves that the opinion of Alhafiz Ibne Hajar is more reliable than Imam Alkirmani.

Collective Modes in Weakly Magnetized Relativistic and Ultra-Relativistic Electron Plasma

The longitudinal and transverse dispersion relations using four-dimensional covariant Maxwell''s equations and three dimensional Maxwell''s field equations are derived. Their equivalence is found be in agreement in both the formulations. Employing ambient weak magnetic fields, collective modes of electron plasma are derived. Two different approaches are used. (i) In first case, a covariant form of Maxwell''s equations is used along with Vlasov model and 4-dimentional polarization tensor is derived. Using temporal axial gauge A0=0 and employing ultra-relativistic Maxwellian distribution function, dispersion relations for both parallel and perpendicular propagations are derived. Some limiting cases are also discussed. (ii) In second case, Maxwell''s field equations are used along with Vlasov model and 3-dimentional polarization tensor is derived. It is observed that the response of polarization tensor obtained by using temporal gauge A0=0 in the covariant form of magnetized dielectric tensor and the polarization tensor obtained from the Maxwell''s fields equations is same. The problem is extended for isotropic relativistic Maxwellian velocity distribution function and generalized relativistic dispersion relations for weakly magnetized electron plasma are obtained. The integrals (called Meijer G functions) which arise due to relativistic effects are studied in various limits and dispersion relations are derived for the non-relativistic, weakly-relativistic, strongly-relativistic and ultra-relativistic Maxwellian velocity distributions. It is generally observed that the propagation domains of the modes are enlarged as one proceeds from the non-relativistic to the highly relativistic regime. Resultantly, due to the relativistic effects, the Whistler mode is suppressed in the R-wave, the non-propagation band of X-mode is reduced and the X-mode itself approaches the O-mode. Further, the results derived in the ultra-relativistic and non-relativistic limits found to be in agreement with the earlier calculations.
