مولانا فضل حق رامپوری ؍ مولانا معین الدین اجمیری
افسوس ہے کہ پچھلے دو مہینوں میں ہماری قدیم تعلیم کے خزانہ کے دو انمول موتی کھوگئے، ایک مولانا فضل حق صاحب رامپوری جو مدرسہ عالیہ رامپور میں مدرس اعلیٰ تھے، موصوف نے نصف صدی تک علوم اسلامیہ کی تدریس کا فرض انجام دیا تھا، ۸۱ برس کی عمر میں دار فانی کو الوداع کہا، اور اب ۱۰؍ محرم ۱۳۵۹؁ھ کی دوپہر کو مولانا معین الدین اجمیری نے جن کو سلسلہ خیرآباد کا خاتم کہنا چاہیے وفات پائی، مرحوم مولانا برکات احمد صاحب ٹونکی کے ارشد تلامذہ میں تھے، اور عمر بھر درس و تدریس میں گذار دی، حضرت خواجہ معین الدین چشتی رحمتہ اﷲ علیہ کے احاطہ مزار میں شاہ جہانی مسجد کے زیر سایہ فضل و کمال کا یہ خزانہ زیر خاک کیا گیا، رحمہما اﷲ تعالیٰ، میر احدی اجمیری نے خوب کہا:
ہے سنہ تیرہ سو انسٹھ (۱۳۵۹) عشرہ ماہ محرم ہے
ہمیں اس ابتدائی ماہ میں بے انتہاغم ہے
امام الوقت مولانامعین الدین کی رحلت ہے
بپا اجمیر میں امسال اُف دوہرا محرم ہے۔

Islamic Microfinance: An Overview and Prospects in Pakistan

This paper will highlight the significance importance of the Islamic microfinance working in Pakistan as well as across the world. In 2007, the Great economic damage the global economy of the world including United States, European Union as well as Asia, it made the researcher to study about the alternate system in the replacement of Conventional Financial System, after that study and research they recognized that there is no concept of interest in Islamic Financial System, it is totally based on asset-based system, this recognition shift their area of interest from conventional financial system to Islamic financial system. Islamic financialSystem plays a significant role in economic growth of a country through accumulation of deposits and providing the plate form of financing to speed up economic activities. In the last two decades, the traditional microfinance is replaced by the Islamic microfinance in Pakistan as well as in the whole world. This paper will highlight the working methodology of Islamic microfinance models and institutions that how these Islamic microfinance institutions working asan interest free sector in Pakistan and in the world. The paper is also highlighting the difference between conventional micro financing and Islamic micro financing that what are the models and functions that differs the Islamic micro financing from the traditional micro financing.

Exploring Secondary School Students Perceptions Regarding Their Motivation Towards English Language Reading in Public Sector Schools in Punial, Gilgit-Baltistan

The current study aims to explore secondary school students’ perceptions regarding their motivation towards English language reading in public sector schools in Gilgit, Pakistan. Cross-sectional survey under quantitative paradigm was employed as research methodology. Six schools (three girls and three boys) out of 12 were selected through simple random sampling method. A sample of total 313 secondary school students participated in the study. For the data collection, a research tool (Motivation for English Language Reading Questionnaire) was developed and validated. The tool was directly administered by the researcher in the research field. The obtained data was analysed for descriptive, exploratory and inferential analysis. The findings of the study illustrated that different factors influenced students for reading motivation. At home students got motivation from their siblings’ reading engagement. Further, they also get motivated when parents facilitated them by providing reading material and giving positive comments on their children’s reading engagement. Whereas at school, students got motivation for reading when their teachers engage them in different motivating activities such as assigning new reading tasks, provide opportunities for reading discussion in the class, and explaining reading passages by teachers. Moreover, students were motivated to read in order to develop their language skills. Books with pictures and interesting topics also motivated students to read in English. The findings also highlighted that girls were more intrinsically motivated towards reading than boys. This study presents key insights to ELTs, students, parents, policy makers and other stake holders regarding motivation of ESL students towards reading in secondary schools.
