مقبول احمد لاری

جناب مقبول احمد لاری ۱۷؍ مئی کو لکھنؤ میں وفات پاگئے، وہ ایک علم دوست، ادب نواز اور اردو کے مجاہد تھے، وہ مئی ۱۹۱۶؁ء میں ضلع دیوریا کے قصبہ لار میں پیدا ہوئے تھے، گورکھ پور اور الٰہ آباد وغیرہ میں تعلیم حاصل کی، بی اے کرنے کے بعد ۱۹۴۲؁ء میں ان کے والد کا انتقال ہوگیا تو گھر اور کاروبار کی ساری ذمہ داریاں ان پر آگئیں، اس کی وجہ سے وہ مدتوں نیپال میں قیام پذیر رہے اور یہاں کے اہل علم و دانش، سربرآوردہ اشخاص اور امرا و اعیان دولت میں اپنی اچھی ساکھ بنائی، وہ پہلے ہندوستانی تاجر تھے جس کی گولڈن جوبلی نیپال اور دیگر ممالک کے سرکردہ اشخاص کی مشترکہ کمیٹی نے رفاہ کلب لکھنؤ میں منائی، کھٹمنڈو کی تربھون یونیورسٹی نے ۱۰ سال کے لیے سینٹ کا ممبر منتخب کیا، نیپال کی حکومت نے ان کو اپنے شاہی خطاب ’’سوپربل گروکھاد کھشٹریاہو‘‘ (یمین السلطنت گورکھا) سے نوازا اور حکومت ہند نے بھی ان کی رفاہی خدمات کے لیے انہیں پدم شری کے اعزاز سے نوازا۔
۱۹۵۳؁ء میں بچوں کی تعلیم کے لیے وہ لکھنؤ تشریف لائے اور سٹی اسٹیشن کے قریب راجہ صاحب محمود آباد کا محل خریدا جس میں اپنے ذوق کے مطابق حسب ضرورت ترمیم کرکے رہائش اختیار کی، ایک زمانے میں گونڈہ کے ایک وکیل اور صحافی جناب نیاز قومی لاری منزل میں قیام پذیر تھے، ان کے بہنوئی جناب عبدالقوی خاں انجینئر کے ساتھ ان سے ملنے گیا تو دونوں حضرات نے مقبول لاری صاحب سے ملایا، پہلی ہی ملاقات میں ان کے علم و مطالعہ سے شغف، اردو زبان و ادب سے شیفتگی، علم دوستی، ادب نوازی، سادگی، تواضع، اصول پسندی، خوش خلقی، محبت اور خلوص سے متاثر ہوا، لاری صاحب نے عشائیہ میں شریک ہونے کے لیے کہا لیکن میرے میزبان انجینئر صاحب...

عرب عہد جاہلیت میں ’’طلاق‘‘ کا تصور: تحقیقی جائزہ

Conjugal life is an important aspect of human society, on which a prosperous life depends. Almost every Culture, civilization and religion Legislate for family life. There is a part of these laws to end the marital relationship which is denoted by "DIVORCE". Divorce is mentioned in detail in Islamic Sharia, in order to understand them truly one has to genuinely consider and understand the concept of divorce in Pre-Islamic period of ignorance. There were several specific terms for divorce that were used in the Arab culture for example Talᾱq, Īela and Khula etc. But generally decent people use the word "طلاق"(Talᾱq) to end the marital relationship. There were some common causes and reasons for divorce in Arabs before Islam for example lack of mental harmony, infertility, bigotry, family feud and apostasy etc. The divorced women become more and more vulnerable socially and economically in ancient Arab and consequently their children less attention, love and affection of their mothers turning them into rebellious, nonconformist and ruthless individuals crossing all limits of oppression and we often see examples of such incidents in Arabs before dawn of Islam. These cruel customs and practices were uprooted through teachings of Islam which is based on justice, equality and basic human rights.

Factors Affecting Talent Management in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Suggesting Organizational Response

Purpose – This study was conducted to identify factors affecting talent management in the context of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), Pakistan their causal relationship. The study expected to facilitate policymakers and human resource managers to formulate and implement exclusive talent management strategies, in order to attract and engage talented individuals for sustainable competitive advantage. Research methodology – The study was correlational and descriptive (quantitative) in nature. The population comprised, students and Heads of Department (HoD) of medical and engineering universities charted by Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa a province of Pakistan and overseas Pakistani medical doctors/engineers. Total 845 questionnaires were distributed, 376 amongst students, 71 in HoD’s and 398 amongst overseas doctors/engineers. Total 670 questionnaires were received, 351 from students, 68 from HoDs and 251 from doctors/engineers. The data was analyzed using SPSS and AMOS software. The analysis comprised Descriptive Statistics, Exploratory Factors Analysis and Confirmatory Factors Analysis with Structural Equation Modelling. Research findings – Study found seven factors affecting talent management in the context of KPK, Pakistan. The most significant positive predictor was found workplace environment. However, recruitment and selection, technological advancement and talent demand & supply were also found significant positive predictors of talent management.Practical implications – This study provides systematic management process for employees’ management starting from fair and quick recruitment & selection process, provision of conducive working environment, appropriate development opportunities and remuneration & reward system. This study also provides starting point to researchers in the context of talent management. Policy level implications – To revamp education system, educational institutes launch career counseling services, ensure equal employment opportunities, also discourage discrimination of local v/s foreign qualification, encourage local and foreign investors, overcome issues such as, energy crises, unemployment, poor law and order situation, justice denied or delayed, poverty (lack of food, shelter), favoritism, broken family bonds and breakdown of civic facilities. Originality/value – The research identified factors affecting in the context of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan based on data collected through survey questionnaire. The findings of research study are strategically important for organizations to attract, develop, engage and beneficially utilize the talent for sustainable competitive advantage. This study provides reference for future research studies on talent management, specifically those aims to investigate the formulation and implementation of talent management strategies.
