Yasir Farooq
Yasir Farooq (Urdu: یاسر فاروق) is a scholar of Ḥadīth and Sciences. He has completed his doctorate from the Institute of Islamic Studies, University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. His major fields of study are Ḥadīth, Sciences of Ḥadīth, ‘elal al-ḥadīth. He has produced twenty research articles. Currently, he is serving as Lecturer in the Department of Islamic Studies, Government Municipal Graduate College, Faisalabad, Punjab, Pakistan.

Early Life
Born in 1992, in Ali Pur, a city of Punjab, Pakistan, he completed his early education from his home town. Since his earlier days, he had interest in religious studies, Urdu literature, and computer science.
Education
Till eighth grade, he studied in the Little Flower Public High School, a private school located in the heart of the city. Afterward he joined Government High School, Ali Pur where he completed his matriculation in 2006. Later, he started studying at Islamic Education Institute, Depalpur, Okara for and graduated in four years Religious course with distinction. In 2012, he got admitted in Center for Higher Education, Faisalabad where he specialized in hadith and its sciences and approved as Mufti of Religious Studies.
Meanwhile, he completed M.A in Islamic Studies and Arabic.
In 2015, he got admission in the University of the Punjab, Lahore from where he completed his M.Phil in 2017. In the same year he secured his admission in PhD. He learned from the notable scholars such as Muhammad Saad Siddiqui and Usman Ahmad. He completed his PhD in August, 2021.

“Science of ‘Ilal al-ḥadīth: Studies of Mohaddithins and Jurists in Indian Subcontinent”
Dissertation M. Phil. Entitled:
“Impacts of ‘ilal e Asnād o mutūn on the conflict of jurists”
Thesis M.A Entitled:
“Thoughts of Ibn e Tamiyah about resemblance”.
Professional Career
During his M.Phil, he started teaching at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar Campus where he taught courses such as Ulum al-Qur’an and Al-Dawah wal-Irshad. Later on, he joined Riphah International University, Faisalabad Campus where he taught Principles & Sciences of Quran, Principles & Sciences of Islamic Jurisprudence and Critical Study of Selected English Text continuously three year/six semesters as a visiting faculty member. Since 2018, he is serving as Lecturer of Islamic Studies in the Government Municipal Graduate College, Faisalabad.
